Kristen Lanier

Director of Operations

Kristen Lanier serves as the Director of Operations for Upstream Sending. Before joining the team, she served at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary for 7 years as both a Communication Project Manager and later as the Assistant Director of Student Life. She has worked in higher education for some time, but also worked within the local church in various roles. She spent a little over a year as a missionary in Cape Town, South Africa and has always been passionate about missions globally and equipping the church to better understand the Great Commission. She currently serves in her church through music and discipleship. Her husband Joseph serves as the Associate Pastor of Admin and Discipleship at Fairview Baptist Church in Apex, North Carolina. She and Joseph have two kids, Ingrid and Titus.

Kristen is nearly finished with her Masters in Counseling from Midwestern and received her Bachelors from University of Florida in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences with a minor in Nonprofit Organizational Leadership.
